Sewing Machines
Q Why does my thread bunch-up on the bottom of the material?
A There is not enough tension on the top thread. First make sure that the machine is threaded properly. The most important thing is to be sure that the presser foot is up in the air when threading the machine. This will insure that the thread goes completely into the tension. Refer to the threading guide in your book if you are experiencing a problem and be sure the thread goes into the take-up arm.
Q When doing embroidery, why does my fabric pucker?
A When your fabric puckers you need more or different stabilizer. The most common stabilizer is tear-away then cut-away. On stretch use a fusible. on towels use a wash-away.
Vacuum cleaners
Q Why does my vacuum cleaner stink?
A Your vacuum cleaner is a filter and the dirt that you pick up covers the bag or filter. Change the bag or clean the filter.
Sergers
Q Why does the thread keep breaking when I just start sewing?
A When you thread the serger, thread the loopers first and the needles last. Be sure that the thread is not tangled and that it is in all of the thread guides.
Financing
Q Do you offer long term financing?
A We offer financing up to 60 months. We offer 90 days same as cash on all purchases and up to 12 months with no interest on most major purchases.
Repairs
Q Do you do repair at your place of business or do you send them out?
A We do all of our repair on premises and have three experienced mechanics.
Sewing classes
Q Do you have quilting classes?
A We have a quilt block of the month class as well as free motion classes.
